Prior to this course, we spent a semester working alongside the city of Statesboro in space planning a couple blocks in the downtown area. One of the spacial plans that we suggested was an apartment complex which catered to post-grad students and young couples. It offers both one- and two-bedroom apartments that will be ADA compliant and are located on the second floor. The first level will include an accessible mail and package room, coffee bar and lounge, leasing office, accessible restrooms, and a game room. With this project, I wanted to prioritize accessibility, comfort, and equitability throughout the complex design.
